Pelmadulla – Embilipitiya – Nonagama Road (A018)

Rehabilitation, Improvement and Maintenance of Pelmadulla - Embilipitiya - Nonagama Road (A018) (30+000 km to 47+000 km).

The Ministry of Highways (MoH) of Sri Lanka has undertaken Rehabilitation / Improvements and Maintenance of National Road (Pelmadulla - Embilipitiya - Nonagama Road (A018) from 0+000 km to 66+000 km) in four contracts under the Integrated Investment Road Programme for which the Government of Sri Lanka has received a loan from the Asian Development Bank (ADB). NSA is the engineering design sub-contractor of the 17km 3rd section of the project from Pallebadda to Kolabage ara passing Sankapala and Udawalawa. NSA carries out detailed designs including the pavement design, geometric designs, hydrology study and structural designs of the culverts and bridges of the project. Rehabilitation and improvement works will consist of strengthening the base of the existing pavement where necessary, widening the carriageway to the required standard, rebuilding the shoulders to the required width with soft shoulder on either side, followed by Asphalt Concrete surfacing/Concrete Paving/ Concrete Block Paving as necessary to the Carriageway.
